The Camping Field
There are three villages, each distinguished by its colour – Red, Blue and Yellow. The villages will take part
in competitions through the weekend and work together to be the winning village. Groups may wish to bring clothing, flags or even tents in their village colour!
Groups must provide their own camping equipment (including tents). You are welcome to cook within the camping area. Please be aware that space for camping is limited. Larger groups may bring a small gazebo if required, however please do not bring canvas marquees or similar.
Open campfires and BBQs of any kind are not permitted within the camping area.
Refuse areas are located by the villages. Please make sure all rubbish is disposed of here.
Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival time is from 4pm on Friday. Upon arrival, please check in with the Welcome Team at the main gate. This is important because you will be given a welcome pack containing wristbands for your group and details of where to camp according to your allocated village.
Departure is from 3pm on Monday.
Please note we will be operating a one-way system, with traffic flowing through the main driveway and exiting out the rear gate.
Mealtimes
Food will be served three times a day (hot/cold breakfast, lunch and dinner) at set times from the Diner. There will be a non-vegetarian and vegetarian option served. In your welcome pack you will be given a time to sit down for each meal, this has been put in place to stop overcrowding and large queues at mealtimes.
First Aid
If you require first aid attention, please make yourself known to a volunteer with a radio or go to
the Café.
Drugs, Solvent and Alcohol-Free Zone
Unite operates a strict no drugs, solvents or alcohol policy throughout the entire site.
In the Evening
After midnight young people should be in an organised activity or in their own tent.
Water Bottle Filling Station
You will be able to fill your water bottle up from the following locations: Camping field tap, Shed tap (front of the Cornerstone building), or the main filling station on the front lawn.
Mobile Phones
These must be switched off or on silent when inside any venues on-site.
Smoking / Vaping
For over 18s, strict no smoking / vaping policy operates in all buildings, venues, and all outdoor areas, except for the designated smoking / vaping area which is by the summer house on the front lawn (behind the main flagpole). Smoking / vaping is not permitted at any time for under 18s.
Wristbands
These must be worn at all times and will be checked regularly by the Site Team. This is to ensure only paying guests are on-site. Broken wristbands can be replaced for a small fee and anyone without a wristband will be required to purchase one at the Café.
Vehicles / Parking
Limited parking will be available on site for minibuses and cars only. The majority of parking will be designated as “for event duration” and unless agreed on arrival you should assume that you will not be able to remove your vehicles part way through the event. If you will be arriving by coach or minibus, please email unite@boys-brigade.org.uk to arrange suitable parking. Vehicles will not be permitted on the Field at any point during the event.
Please note that the decisions relating parking may need to be changed at short notice if bad weather is being experienced or is forecast. The Boys’ Brigade is not responsible for cars or any valuables held within them.
Noise
The playing of loud music is not permitted on site, or in any venues. Noise should be kept to a
minimum late at night, especially in the camping areas. Also, please avoid any unnecessary noise
before 7:30am.
Loss / Damage to Property
Any items of lost property should be handed in at the Café. Unite and The Boys’ Brigade cannot be held responsible for any loss of damage to property and / or vehicles.
Extra Programmes
These can be purchased from the Café for a small fee.
Showers
Showers are free of charge: For over 18s in the Thurso Centre (access via Thurso Workshops venue) and for under 18s in the Sports Hall (next to Fusion venue).

Fire Assembly Point
The fire assembly point is located by the main flagpole in front of the house.
Fire Pit
There is to be no unauthorised use of the fire pit at any time.
In the Event of an Emergency
You will asked to calmly leave the venue you are in and walk to the Assembly Point, where groups will be checked in by marshals. Once we know everyone is accounted for and the situation is in hand we will return to the programme at the earliest opportunity. Leaders are responsible for all the children and young people in their care.
